Iririki Resort Solar Largest in Vanuatu
Sunergise International Limited and Iririki Resort and Spa today announce the launch of the largest solar power installation in Vanuatu.
Leading Pacific solar energy provider Sunergise has installed a 783kW solar photovoltaic (PV) array solar system with a 2MWH battery storage capacity at Iririki Resort and Spa in Port Vila, Vanuatu. The off grid installation guarantees energy independence, reduces overall operating expenses, and positively contributes to the environment.
The system will displace over 798 metric tons of carbon dioxide every year, the equivalent of avoiding over 3 million kilometers being driven by the average passenger car.
Paul Makumbe, Sunergise CEO, says “We are delighted to work with Iririki Resort and implement Vanuatu’s largest solar installation, enabling Iririki to save considerably on power costs and to further elevate their green credentials.”
The 5-star Iririki Island Resort & Spa features luxurious appointed suites and rooms, a casino, a day spa, gymnasium, one of the largest freshwater swimming pools in the South Pacific, and five world-class restaurants. The solar installation will assist Iririki Resort to serve its discerning international guests and the growing demand for eco friendly travel options.
