Sunergise and Goodman Fielder International today announce the launch of the Pacific Islands’ largest sustainably-powered cold storage facility.

Leading solar energy provider Sunergise has installed a solar PV system at the Goodman Fielder International Limited cold storage plant in Suva Fiji. The 320kWP PV Grid-connected system was installed by Sunergise engineering partner Clay Energy Limited and will enable Goodnam Fielder to save on electricity costs and further reduce its carbon footprint.

Sunergise Co Founder Paul Makumbe comments, “We are delighted to work together with Goodman Fielder International in this outstanding new benchmark for the industry and to further their sustainability goals.”

John Kennedy, National Engineering Manager Goodman Fielder, Fiji states “The solution is on track for better than the original estimated energy savings from the EFL grid. The team performed well during the project and delivered a quality project on time.”

The Goodman Fielder system will have a positive environmental impact equivalent to planting over 8000 trees.
