Pacific Islands' Largest Cold Storage Solar System
Sunergise and Yees Cold Storage Seafood today announce the launch of the Pacific Islands’ largest solar power installation for a cold storage facility.
Leading Pacific solar energy provider Sunergise has installed a 393kW solar photovoltaic (PV) array at Nadi, Fiji. The installation is helping reduce overall operating expenses, and positively contributes to the environment.
The system is made up of 1064 JA Solar 370W panels. The forecast annual energy yield of 570.8MWh implementation is expected displace over 400 tons of carbon dioxide every year - the equivalent of avoiding 1.5 million kilometers being driven by the average passenger car.
Yees are exclusive distributors for fresh local seafood and world-renowned food and wine brands, boasting the biggest range of perishable food products in Fiji. The solar installation will assist Yees to provide the highest quality produce to its discerning customers and clients.
